Downtown Breckenridge Proposal

This past October my husband and I up and moved to Colorado after many MANY years of dreaming of it We sold our TX house, packed up everything we own, managed to buy our dream house in Colorado Springs, and did the damn thing. No better time than the present, right?

We both took a week off of work for the move and to get settled, and decided on our last day off that we would spend a day in our favorite mountain town, Breckenridge, to celebrate with our pup Bailey. As we were sitting on the patio at the Quandary Grill for lunch and waiting on our food, I saw some people around us staring and pointing at something behind me. I turned around to see two strangers over by the pond, one down on one knee (!!!).

Looking around, I noticed that the stranger proposing had given his phone to a random passerby, but there wasn’t anyone taking any other photo or video. Luckily I had just taken a photo of Bailey in the exact same spot with my camera 15 minutes before and had my camera next to me with my settings set. I debated for a moment what to do, but ultimately grabbed my camera and RAN up to the couple. I let them know that I was a wedding photographer and would love to snap some shots of them and they were so excited to hear that!

Dustin & Dailynn were so sweet and I couldn’t stop talking about the great timing the rest of the day. The photos turned out so great that they were actually featuring on Rocky Mountain Bride! Congrats Dustin & Dailynn!
